Familiarity does not breed contempt, that’s an often repeated but very wrong statement. Familiarity breeds peace, love, tolerance and respect.

People of different races, nationalities, sexual orientation, religions and political beliefs who simply spend time with others are much more likely to see the good and increase tolerance and understanding for the other.

Social media is an amazing way to build these networks and create understanding.

If you fear republicans or liberals or gun owners or gays or Muslims or socialists or rednecks or Hispanics….talk to one. We all have so much more in common than not.
