If you are in favor of equal rights for all, gay marriage is YET ANOTHER example in a long line of where government involvement has shown that they are far better at taking rights than protecting them. In this case by the (very stupid) DOMA, Defense of Marriage Act. Prior to this were hundreds of Jim Crow laws, laws preventing people from voting, laws forcing segregation etc. etc. Today we see numerous new laws limiting speech, personal defense and other rights. Government is not our friend. Government is force against people.

Please, if you are pro-freedom and pro-equality and in favor of rights look to political leaders who actually also are as well. Look to limit government and laws at every turn. Be voluntary.

If you don’t like Jews or sugary sodas or Nazis or gays or drugs or guns or Muslims or Christians or rednecks or GMOs or banks…. don’t support them! But please, please don’t vote for and support people who will seize our tax dollars to fund force and violence to enforce a world view of what you want.

Freedom is the answer, laws and enforcement is the opposite of freedom.
