W. Virginia chemical spill:

In a free society where liberty and rights are valued first….people and governments should not harm others unless in defense.

Those who DO harm others should be punished and brought to justice. This is a totally moral and legitimate use of the State and force.

Therefor, those responsible for the chemical spill in West Virginia HAVE unquestionably harmed the liberty of others and absolutely should be punished…not as a corporation, a faceless entity which itself is a creation of the state, but the ACTUAL PEOPLE responsible…..in a fair system they would be PERSONALLY punished. In our current system, executives and workers who use corporations to pollute air, harm and even kill others are rarely personally punished, the company typically pays a fine.

Throwing executives and workers in jail when they harm fellow citizens is a better deterrent to further abuse than all the fines, special favors and thousands of pages of regulations our government can devise.

Keep it simple…..mind our own business, harm no one, and when someone does harm to another the PERSON who does harm is punished. That is called personal responsibility and is a cornerstone of liberty.
