United Nations to Release 2009 Global Report on Refugee Trends at June 16 “Newsmaker” Media Briefing Hosted by National Press Club

At the Newsmaker, Guterres will release the UNHCR’s 2009 Global Report. Every day, thousands of people in northwest Pakistan are registered as displaced. As the conflict between government forces and militants in the area continues, the number of people who have been forced to flee their homes increases. More than two million people have now been displaced.
