I have this unusual job that has caused me to end up meeting about 90 members of the top 150 on the Forbes list…. One thing that might surprise people who have never met the ultra wealthy is how much they love when others succeed. They really want you to make it, they want to hire you, fund you, help you.

Don’t get me wrong, they won’t do it if you don’t bring them value and excellence ….but the point is that they want more people to succeed and have that excellence.

I saw super venture capitalist Marc Andreessen speak a while back (who I don’t know btw) he wants nothing more than for some entrepreneur to come and dazzle him. You give him the right business plan he WILL read it and he will write you a check for tens of millions of dollars. It’s not easy, it’s ridiculously hard. But anyone who thinks the ultra rich are out to get the little guy may not have met many of them.

In general the ultra rich are very positive thinkers and like to think big, live large and hang with others who do the same. So what on earth use is this to a regular person who will never meet one of these outliers or have anything to do if they did? Well, it can be applied to everyone — even the most basic jobs in the most basic town.

People are generally good, really they actually are. There are millions of people — not just super rich people – regular people, people of all walks of life who want to help you, who want you to succeed. The world is changing so fast that people can get new skills today for jobs that won’t even exist until tomorrow. It’s a great time to be alive.
