Marc Andreesen, founder of Netscape and Mosaic and his business partner Ben Horowitz have launched a new VC firm, as announced on Marc’s blog.

Andreesen has certainly participated in the tech game for a long time and in the front lines.  His thoughts on how the Cloud will change the way tech works are very interesting… also inspiring to see someone who sees so much potential in a time when there is so much negative news about the economy.

Cloud based companies and applications: essentially programs that run from a central Internet based server rather than a local server or PC, are transforming the way that software, business and technology work.  It will be very interesting to see what this new venture brings.
