I checked the responses in three batches and sent the money to every address — it took me about five minutes each time for a total of 15 minutes.

Recipients who are now new Bitcoin users include people from Tanzania, all over the US, Ukraine, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Zanzibar, Canada, the EU, South Africa, China, Argentina, Japan, Oman and others.

I needed no permission and dealt with no bank officer who I had to explain who I am or where or why I was sending my money. No customer service 800 number, no signature, no notary, no forms. Just math.

Mechanically, this could have just as easily been $100,000 each.

There is no bank or other existing system which could possibly hope to match this.

The paperwork to open 80 accounts globally then setup wire instructions would take many hours,spread over weeks and even once done the money transfer would take days more and have a fee 1000% higher than this.

Bitcoin is absolutely superior to everything that has ever existed in currency and money transfer.
